Enjoying the 27-hole Hawaii Prince Golf Club on Oahu is as simple as A-B-C. Each of the three nines -- named A, B and C -- are wonderfully playable and well conditioned. The sun shines on this leeward side of the island almost constantly, serving up perfect tropical weather for those mainlanders who come to escape their snow-bound homes. And it's one of the rare courses that's popular with locals and tourists, mainly because it's affordable and fun to play.

King Kamehameha Golf Club on Maui: King of conditioning, views and pampering
What's not to like about the King? Great conditioning, a superb layout and views as good as almost anywhere in the world. Honestly, King Kamehameha Golf Club rivals the Plantation Course at Kapalua, and that's saying a lot. As for scenery, it doesn't get any better than King. Laid out along the side of the West Maui Mountains, you also get panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean as well.

Any idea that Hapuna Golf Course is just the other venue at Mauna Kea resort on the Big Island is quickly dismissed once you start playing it. It's hard to fathom that the first golf course built on the Big Island of Hawaii, Mauna Kea Golf Course on the Kona side of the island, is arguably still the best.
